Flip to the back pages of many mainstream
men's magazines, and you'll find dodgy ads for “pheromone
colognes” guaranteed to attract lovely ladies.
There has long been the yang to that yin with the availability
of women's perfumes augmented with pheromones to attract
men, but until recently, unless you wanted to smell
particularly flowery, there wasn't anything designed
for men into men. N10Z (pronounced “intense”)
has created the first pheromone scent formulated for
gay men, called Masculinity. Intended to smell
as spicy as it's claims, there are notes of cinnamon,
cardamom, French basil, clove, coriander, and black
pepper. Before you assume it is a recipe for curry,
you'll appreciate the middle notes of cedar and leather
and woody finish of musk, sandalwood, vanilla, and amber.
While the name suggests power, it isn't cloying or heavy.
University of Chicago laboratory tests bore out the
effectiveness of pheromones causing physical and emotional
reactions, and you can confirm the evidence with a spritz
