YES WE CAN, YES WE DO.

To celebrate California’s same-sex marriage “enlightenment,” the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills is offering the “You’re Darn Right We Do!” package especially for same-sex couples tying the knot in California. The deal is priced at $617.08 (as in June 17, 2008, the date it became legal for same-sex couples to obtain marriage licenses in the Golden State) and it includes a marriage license and wedding arrangements, plus an overnight honeymoon stay in a king room—complete with chocolate-covered strawberries, flowers, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. If a quiet ceremony isn’t enough, book the hotel for a Champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception for up to 100 guests at $125 a head. Host a reception for 50 people or more and the license, ceremony, and honeymoon stay is included. You don’t have to be a California resident to marry there, and the Crescent Hotel packages are ongoing. www.crescentbh.com
