PINK WAVE

In an effort to re-define GLBT community
events and break from the mold of parades and all-night
dances, Austria’s quaint Lake Woerthersee vacation
destination will host the new Pink Wave festival,
September 11–14. The event is expected to draw crowds
from across Europe and beyond to this centrally-located
base for sport and wellness. Just a few hours by car from
Vienna, Venice, and Munich, and a puddle jump flight from
the rest of Western Europe, it’s an easy jaunt to
the sparkling waters where gay entertainment and sports,
a boat cruise, the Pink Wave club, women’s speed
dating, the chill lounge, live music, and more, make carousing
or relaxing the perfect way to spend a long weekend in
