KEY WEST TROLLEY TOUR
Its important to learn your history,
and Key Wests Gay and Lesbian Historic Trolley
Tour offers LGBT visitors and friends a ride along
the way. Since the early 1940s, Key West has been both
a haven and home for gay residents. Now, every Saturday
at 11 A.M., the rainbow flag-draped Old Town Trolley runs
a 70-minute tour highlighting the citys rich gay
and lesbian history. Pay a visit to Tennessee Williams
home, admire the art gallery once owned by Richard Heyman,
the citys first gay mayor, stand in the site of
the legendary bar, the Monster, as well as stop at many
other historic hotspots en route. Learn how the gay community
contributed to the culture, politics, and economy of Key
West, while also taking in the citys unique architecture
and equally eclectic people. Tickets are only $25 per
person for this fabulously fun and informative tour. www.gaykeywestfl.com
