Lets take a look at Times Online's list of the Ten Weirdest Things to Eat.
1) Alligator Cheesecake - Jacque-Imo’s Café in New Orleans, Louisiana. An appetizer made of cheese, alligator sausage, and shrimp.
2) Bitter melon (Africa/Asia) - Momordicin is the component within this wart-riddled fruit that is responsible for its absolute astringency, and it’s a very bitter pill to swallow.
3) Blood Tongue (Germany) - A cold cut made with cow blood and tongue, seasoned, cooked, chilled, turned into a loaf, then sliced thin.
4) Chicken Knee (China) - The Chinese, on the other hand, prefer to eat these knees at dim-sum restaurants where they are dunked in garlic batter, deep-fried, and served in fragrant piles.
5) Live Lobster (Asia) - The lobster is split between the abdomen and cephalothorax—the meat in the tail is speedily scooped out (preferably in one piece) and sliced into sashimi portions. The meat is then “plated” onto its own tail. The other half of the lobster is set on a bed of ice to preserve any remaining motor reflexes.
