Britain’s Gay Flamingos Celebrate Their Fifth Anniversary

With same-sex couples’ divorce rates so low in the UK, it is no surprise that the country’s only gay flamingos, Carlos and Fernando, are still going strong as they enjoy one another’s company on their fifth anniversary together. The two celebrated with their adopted kids at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Gloucestershire.

“They only have eyes for each other,” said Nigel Jarrett, a keeper at the nature reserve.“I have never seen two male flamingos fall for each other before, although homosexuality is not uncommon in the animal kingdom. [PinkNews]
