Microsoft salutes the women of 2013 with a new ad that highlights female figures who have made significant contributions in 2013. The ad, which is sure to pull on your heartstrings, features prominent lesbians as well, including DOMA plaintiff Edith Windsor as well as long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad. “Their examples are a testament to the potential in everyone. In that way, they offer a thrilling glimpse into the future – of what could be, if more men and women stand up to encourage the breakdown of gender norms,” ChipChick.com writes.
