Gay Newlywed Sitcom ‘Husbands’ Goes International
Husbands, the marriage equality comedy about an odd gay couple determined to stick out their marriage, went global today as Season Three’s episodes became available for international viewing on YouTube. From the creative comic minds of TV writer-producers Brad Bell and Jane Espenson, “Husbands” chronicles the lives of Brady (Sean Hemeon), a pro baseball star, and Cheeks (Brad Bell), an aspiring actor and “starving artist” type, after their spontaneous drunken hitching in Vegas following the legalization of gay marriage. Despite their spur of the moment celebration, the two are dedicated to the cause and determined to avoid divorce. Husbands, which premiered in 2011 as an independent web series, was until today housed exclusively on the CW’s online platform, CW Seeds, and was thus only available in the United States, but thanks to YouTube the charmingly witty newlywed sitcom is now available for enjoyment across the globe. In season three, you can expect guest appearances from Amy Acker (Person of Interest), Seth Green, Beth Grant (The Mindy Project), and Janina Gavankar (True Blood).
