Chaz Bono Steps Out For Premiere of His New Documentary
January 25th, 2011

Chaz Bono stepped out into the spotlight at this year’s Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of “Becoming Chaz,” a documentary that “reveals the humanity and courage it takes for Chaz to ultimately embrace his true self,” according to the film’s spokesperson. After the film, OWN (who owns the rights to the documentary), held a special after party to honor Chaz and his family. Rosie O’Donnell was in attendance (she is in charge of OWN’s non-fiction department) as well as the film’s directors Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato.
The documentary received some positive attention, especially from the LA Times who wrote: “wildly engaging, touching and eye-opening.” [Daily Mail]
