You know that warning on coffee that says “Careful Contents are Hot!” Someone should have read that to a United Airlines pilot who apparently spilled a hot cup of coffee on the plane’s communication and navigation system. The systems malfunctioned and caused quite a scare for the Boeing 777′s 241 passengers. The flight from Chicago to Germany declared an emergency and luckily it was able to land in Toronto with the fried equipment. We’re so happy everyone is safe and sound, but we wonder what kind of regulations will come out of this. We don’t want our pilots sleepy. [Gawker]
