Those who aren’t strangers to Bluewater Productions know that the comic book house has been pumping out comics based on LGBT heroes for a while now—past books include Lady Gaga, Kathy Griffin, and Ellen DeGeneres. But their about-to-be-released comic is breaking new heels—Female Force: RuPaul. The comic book version will be available at Comic Flea Market until the expanded 40-page graphic novel version is out in bookstores and Amazon in late September in both print and e-book formats.

The issue, written by Michael Troy and penciled Nathan Girten also delves into RuPaul’s personal life as an openly gay performer and his many public trials and tribulations including the 1993 furor in upstaging and insulting legendary comic Milton Berle on live TV and his cult-like following for the eality show RuPaul’s Drag Race.
