Every year, the US Open kicks off the tennis tournament with an all-day celebration. On August 28, people show up from all over the world to take part in Arthur Ashe Kids Day. The full-day event celebrates the extraordinary courage and strength of Ashe who changed the course of history by helping to break the color barrier in sports and becoming a spokesperson for AIDS research. Come out, meet your favorite tennis stars, and listen to some live music. Following the kickoff event, take part in the most prestigious tennis tournament from August 30–September 12. www.usopen.org
