MOROCCO
MARRAKECH
During the Marrakech Popular Arts Festival,
the entire city becomes a stage. From July 16–24,
outdoor venues, including the spectacular El Badi Palace
and its courtyards, play host to traditional Moroccan
folk performances. Everyone from Berber musicians from
the High Atlas to belly dancers comes together for this
annual festival. For nine days, spectators are literally
surrounded by Morroccan tradition at this lively cultural

SOUTH AFRICA
HERMANES
Lovers of both wildlife and the arts will adore
the Hermanes Whale Festival. During this annual
event, the only enviro-art festival in South Africa,
guests can explore Walker Bay in its entirety and mingle
with Wally the Whale and his ocean buddies at Village
Square Waterfront Piazza. Meanwhile, at water’s
edge, they can enjoy a full lineup of activities including
live music, classic car shows, wine festivals, and much
